Mental Health First Aid

We facilitate accredited Mental Health First Aid Certification with a course adapted specifically for the workplace.

Become a Mental Health First Aider

One in five Australians between 16 and 85 will experience a mental illness every year. In fact, about 45% of Australians will experience a mental illness at some point in their lifetime. While physical first aid is widely acknowledged, mental health first aid is often lacking in organisations. Most people are unprepared to talk about mental health in the workplace and do not understand the supports available. Yet having the right conversation at the right time is often all it takes to make a major difference.

We facilitate accredited Mental Health First Aid Certification with a course adapted specifically for the workplace. The Mental Health First Aid course is evidence based and has an internationally recognised curriculum. It teaches participants how to support colleagues who might be developing, or experiencing an existing mental health problem / crisis and how to link in both practical and professional support.

Our Point of Difference:

  • Instructors who are qualified allied health practitioners with workplace specific experience
  • Case studies and workplace content specific to the working environment
  • Additional handouts and resources specific for use within workplaces
  • Consideration of workplace health and safety obligations within the context of mental health.
